$3 Million and More for a Century-Old Campus
For the past ten years, Pica & Associates has represented Nexus Woodbourne Family Healing Center. Through our efforts, Woodbourne received a grant of $1,500,000 this past legislative session to begin the process of building a new school. We also worked on House Bill 854, which will enable Woodbourne to apply for more money next year.
Woodbourne is a forty-eight bed Residential Treatment Center that educates and offers behavioral health services to boys and adolescents aged 12 to 18. The Center awards a Baltimore City high school diploma to its resident students. It also houses women who are victims of human trafficking.
In 2017, Pica & Associates secured a capital grant of $1,035,000 to construct a Vocational Tech building. As a result, Woodbourne teaches automotive repair and carpentry skills to its high school students as they prepare to enter the workforce. In total, Our firm has secured capital grants of $3,135,000 to improve their campus.

This past legislative session, we secured a $1,500,000 grant to launch construction of a new school on the Woodbourne campus. We also helped move House Bill 854, which positions Woodbourne to pursue additional funding next year.
